Amphenol’s LC-X flippable Uniboot connector simplifies cable routing in high density panels. The compact design allows for greater density as well as the convenience of reversing the polarity. Amphenol Uniboot LC-X flippable assemblies reduce congestion in racks and trays due to the one boot, one cable design that replaces the need for stocking two connectors of opposing polarities. With the new flippable technology, the polarity of the connector can be changed quickly without the use of special tools. In addition to this, the pitch can easily be changed from standard (6.25mm) to mini (5.25mm).

Amphenol’s node Cable Assemblies link optical transport cable to optical processing equipment. This connection is critical and requires an environmental seal between the cable and the node feed-thru. Our standard node assemblies use either a dielectric outside plant (OSP) cable or an armored OSP cable. Their multiple O-rings ensure a fully sealed cable and node.

Loopback plugs are used for network diagnostics, system configuration testing, and device burn-in. Looping back the signal allows for testing of the optical network. MPO loopbacks are offered with 8, 12, and 24 fiber options in a compact footprint. Straight, crossed, or QSFP pin-outs are available. The Fiber Demarcation Enhanced Access enclosure is especially suited for Multiple Dwelling Unit (MDU) applications. When the FDE indoor wall-mount enclosure is combined with products such as our HiD4 passives, fiber pigtails, splice tray adapter kits, and grounding options, you have a ready-made solution for a multitude of applications.

The Fiber Demarcation Enhanced Access enclosure has a low profile, side-by-side door design that provides an ideal environment for splicing and patching in indoor wall-mount applications. An integrated access door on the customer side of the enclosure provides a generous opening for a cleaning tool to reach the optical connectors resulting in a more craft-friendly design. The access door can be opened by-hand without the use of tools. This door is shown in the pictures below.

The FS3 brings a new level of access, convenience, and security to fiber splicing applications. This shelf enables quick and easy fiber splicing and connectivity for rack mount applications. The adapter panel opening accommodates up to three single-width style LGX® modules or adapter plates. Cable termination brackets can hold cable diameters ranging from 0.25” to 0.50”. The HiD4 is an industry leading high-density, miniature shelf mount cassette for passive applications such as splitters or CWDM MUX and DEMUX applications. The miniature HiD4 footprint provides full functionality with up to 14 front facing LC/APC or LC/UPC ports and its mounting is compatible with LGX® shelves. At approximately 3″ deep, and half the width of a single LGX module, this package provides significantly improved port density when compared with conventional LGX cassettes. The HiDT has redefined the industry standard for compact splice tray mounted passive multi-component modules. HiDT tray modules are designed to integrate directly onto the All Systems Broadband Universal Splice/Component Tray (UST) with no intermediate mounting fixtures. The HiDT housing allows for up to 14 fiber ports, all exiting one end of the package. The Layered Fiber Demarcation enclosure is designed for high-density fiber connectivity and splicing for indoor wall mount applications.

Amphenol’s 948 Series Rack Mount Patch Panels provide a convenient location for patching single mode or multimode fiber optic cables from the cable termination point to the lightwave equipment. They are available in a variety of sizes to accommodate from 24 to 96 fibers.

The Rack Mount Patch Panels can be used in both cross-connect and interconnect applications. Preterminated multi-channel fiber optic pigtails are excellent for reducing installation costs and installer handling.
