MIL-DTL-38999 based / Series five
Amphenol's new Five Series connector represents the next evolutionary step in the renowned MIL-DTL-38999 series. It combines all the functions of conventional connectors – but in a lighter, smaller, and more compact housing. This makes it ideally suited to meet the increasing demands of the aerospace industry. Applications include defense, aerospace, unmanned systems, and urban air mobility. This compact circular connector is designed for data, power, and signal transmission. It features AS39029-certified gold-plated contacts in sizes AWG 22D to 12, is 20% smaller (reduced footprint for high-density applications), up to 50% lighter (ideal for weight-sensitive military and aerospace platforms), and offers higher dielectric strength (improved performance in harsh environments). Standard accessory threads provide EMI/RFI protection and scoop-proof contact protection. The standard temperature range is up to +200°C. The high-temperature version can withstand 300°C for up to 24 hours and 260°C continuously.
